Published in 1961, James and the Giant peach tells the story of a little boy called James, who lives with his horrible aunties. One day, James is given magical crocodile tongues, which were said to make his life happy! On the way home, he drops them by a tree, which subsequently grows a piant peach! His aunties keep James locked away while selling tickets to the public to see the peach, and would let him out at night to clean up the litter. James discovers a whole world within the peach, and meets many human sized insect friends. They end up on an epic adventure together to different places around the world in the peach!
