It is created from data collected by NOAA weather satellites, which orbit the poles at an altitude of approximately 850 kilometres. The resulting portrait of Europe extends from Morocco and Iceland in the west to the Ukraine in the east, and from Norway in the north to the Black Sea and Turkey in the south. It shows us the view from Space, unobstructed by clouds and devoid of man's political boundaries. |
