"Created in his ""Switzerland - Belgium"" era between 1935 and 1941, here is one of M.C. Escher's early ""metamorphosing"" sketches having a mirror image develop on either side of an imaginary center line. The left side is a bird's eye view of a day scene of a river town with black geese flying overhead, then shifting (metamorphosing) into a mirror view on the right side - again from a bird's eye view - it is a night scene of the same river town with white geese flying over. You will appreciate the patience Escher must have had when he sketched this very-detailed and exacting picture when you have finished assembling this 1000-piece puzzle." |
