If you don't believe it, trace your finger along the water channel from the paddle wheel all the way around and back to the waterfall then down again to the paddle wheel. Where does the water transition from going downhill to going uphill? This artwork (actually a sketch in black and white) was created by M.C. Escher, the famous Dutch artist and engraver (1898-1972), well-known for the ""impossible structures"" in his art. He uses his talent with geometric shapes to trick our eyes into seeing a new reality that's not there." |
