When 76 year old Mrs Jean Mitchell carefully opened up her Christmas gift from her grandchildren she wondered what an earth it could be. She had firmly told the family this year that she only wanted home cards, after all she was now at the stage of trying to de-clutter her Norfolk bungalow.

Past presents such as chocolates, "smellys" and gloves always ended up in the cupboard or more recently given to the church Harvest Festival appeal. She couldn’t stand clutter.

"Jigsaw was on the go"

Every Tuesday morning, Mrs Coal her next door neighbour of 45 years, used to pop round for a coffee and a chat. They both enjoyed jigsaws and Mrs Mitchell always made sure a “jigsaw was on the go”. "Come on Granny open it," they called. What could all the fuss be about Granny thought. She felt the paper - a rectangle shape - a box of selection biscuits, she mused. But it could be a jigsaw. She hoped, amongst hope, that it wouldn't be one full of blues and greens. The family never really had got the hang of choosing the right jigsaw.

Like an Olympic diver , she elegantly ripped into the red and green paper. It was a jigsaw AND THIS WAS A JIGSAW with a difference.

"We thought you would like it," the two delighted children said. She did like it, in fact she loved it.
